4. Colores: qué dice cada uno

Negro: elegante, misterioso y favorece a todas.

Lingerie: how to choose it and how to gift it

By Mia & Marco · 6-min read · Earn flames 🔥 as you read

The first lingerie Marco ever gave Mia was an adorable disaster: wrong size, a color that wasn't hers and a fabric that itched. She wore it anyway, out of love, and we both ended up crying with laughter. Years later we learned that lingerie isn't a costume to "look like someone else": it's a way to feel like yourself, with a little sparkle. Here's what we discovered along the way.

Which lingerie style is yours?

1. When you think "feeling beautiful," you think of…

2. Your ideal night…

3. How do you like the gift?

1. For every body (really)

Lingerie has no "right" size. Curves, a soft belly, stretch marks, the marks of kids and years: all of it belongs to a body that has lived, and it looks gorgeous in the right piece. Today there's lace and babydolls in plus sizes that hug without squeezing, with wide straps, supportive cups and fabrics that stretch kindly.

The secret isn't "hiding," it's choosing what makes you feel good. If a piece makes you think about what you don't like about yourself, it's not yours. If it makes you stand taller in front of the mirror, that's the one.

Spicy note: the sexiest piece in the world is the one she wears without covering herself with her arms. Confidence doesn't come in a size, but it shows in all of them.

2. Sizing without drama

Buying blind is the number one reason gifts end up in a drawer. Before gifting, check her real bra size and the underwear she wears most (the tag doesn't lie). And always look at the store's size guide: every brand fits differently.

If you're between two sizes, in lingerie the bigger one is almost always better: lace that's too tight digs in and bothers, lace that fits just right wins hearts. Look for adjustable straps and closures, which forgive a lot.

He doesn't know her size? Let him "research" it the sexiest way: hugging her from behind and guessing with his hands. Then let him check the tag anyway. 😉

3. Lace and babydolls: our favorites

Mia and Marco
Lace: it shows a little and promises the rest.

Lace sets are the classic that never fails: elegant, feminine and playing that "you see it, but not quite" game. Soft lace with a bit of stretch is the most comfortable.

Babydolls are our darlings for every body: they fall loosely from the bust, flatter the twins, sway as you walk and feel like a caress. Ideal for anyone who wants to feel sensual without feeling exposed.

And for a touch of mystery, a Lace Kimono on top: opening it slowly is half the party.

4. Colors: what each one says

Black: elegant, mysterious and flattering on everyone. Red: straight-up passion, for special nights (our Red Passion Bodysuit knows all about it). White or ivory: romantic, honeymoon-style. Wine, emerald or deep blue: sophisticated, stunning on brown skin. Nude or soft pink: delicate and very natural.

The best color? The one she'd also wear in a dress. If she never wears pink, now's not the time to start.

Pick a "secret" couple color. Whenever she wears something in that color, even at the office, he'll know what's underneath. Or he'll imagine it all day.

5. How to gift it without pressure

This is the most important part. A lingerie gift should never feel like a chore or a "you should look like this." A few rules that work for us:

Give it with a card that says "for whenever you want," not "for tonight." Choose with her style in mind, not a magazine fantasy. Include the receipt so she can swap the size without awkwardness. And if she decides not to wear it, that's respected, no sulking. The gift is the thought, not an obligation.

Spicy note: the best gift is choosing it together in the Boutique, cuddled on the couch with a phone. Seeing what the other picks is already foreplay.

6. And him? He gets to play too

The reveal: the game starts before the door opens.

Lingerie isn't just her thing. Fitted boxer briefs in a nice fabric, a robe for him, an open shirt, even ridiculous socks to make her laugh: it all counts. When he dresses up too, the game changes. It's no longer "she shows off and he watches," it's "we both get ready for each other."

Then comes the reveal, which is pure play: one waits in bed with the lights low, the other walks out of the bathroom to a chosen song. Or you wear the kimono and take turns taking it off. Or you draw lots for who "walks the runway" first. Laughing is allowed, and part of the charm.

The "look only" game: for five minutes he can't touch, only watch as she walks around the room. When she says "now," the captain earns his reward.

🤔 Myth or truth?

Tap each card to find out.

Myth. There's beautiful lace and babydolls in plus sizes. Sexy is feeling comfortable.
Truth. In lingerie, tight digs in and bothers. Just right wins hearts.
Myth. A gift isn't a commitment. She wears it whenever she wants, if she wants.

🎡 The reveal wheel

How will tonight's runway go? Let the wheel decide.

Ready?

✅ Before gifting

Tick it together. It's saved on this phone.

Our advice: don't give lingerie to change someone, give it to celebrate them. Find lace, babydolls and the Lace Kimono in Mia & Marco's Boutique, and if talking about what you like is hard, read how to talk about what you like.
